Expectations for Class Participation in Ukulele

  1. Regularly practice assigned homework and learnt skills at home
  2. Listen, pay attention, and be prepared to learn in class each week
  3. Regularly attend classes (except in the case of illness or inexcusable absence)
  4. Be respectful, kind and courteous to others in your ensemble
  5. Treat with respect everyone’s instrument, including your own
  6. Be available for our concert in December (tentative date: Monday, December 15)
  7. Sit beside people you can listen and work well with
  8. Classroom space is limited so parents will be unable to stay with children though they will still be able to hear the class from the foyer
  9. All students will be playing and performing in the same direction, whether right or left-handed

Also note: Mrs. Horrocks and/or Mrs. Pederson reserve the right to discontinue lessons with any child who is continually disruptive or disrespectful in class. Please review these expectations and discuss them with your child, then sign the ukulele form and send it back to me with your registration form. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter!
